Lounge Corp Grand Prix 2023 at Hafnarhús

A race of moving sculptures. Each artist was present, and operated their competing sculpture.

Competing for the title “Lounge Corp Grand Prix Champion 2023“ were twelve artists from Iceland and Norway:
Anna Hrund Másdóttir (IS), Guðlaug Mía Eyþórsdóttir (IS), Ingrid Forland (NO), Logi Leó Gunnarsson (IS), Agatha Wara (NO), Páll Haukur (IS), Sandra Vaka (NO), Siri Borge (NO), Sólbjört Vera Ómarsdóttir (IS), Steinunn Önnudóttir (IS), Tor Erik Bøe (NO) and Vebjørn Guttormsgaard Møllberg (NO).

Lounge Corp Grand Prix 2023 was hosted by Ólafur Ásgeirsson with musical direction by Rollin Hunt.

The event ended with an award ceremony, and the audience was invited to vote for their competition favorite.

Lounge Corp is an artist duo and curatorial team made up of artists Ragnheiður Káradóttir and Kaja Andersen. They make site specific exhibitions in non traditional spaces and explore new and innovative ways to get audiences to engage with visual art.
